Dawn’s Trumpet Instruction Mission

  1. Help students that want to be a good trumpet player and reach their goals
  2. Help students elevate in their section
  3. Help students get into the top groups in their school programs
  4. Help students achieve goals of getting into special honor bands at the district and state level
  5. Instruct with giving a good foundation for trumpet playing
  6. Offering Instruction for the concert genre, jazz band, and jazz improv

Dawn’s Policy and Tuition

  1. Consistency in lesson attendance is weekly unless there are specific holidays that there will be no lessons offered.
  2. Payment will be required at the beginning of the month. Monthly tuition is based on 45 lesson weeks out of the 52 weeks divided by 12 months. More details are listed below.
  3. Cancellations that happen on my end will be no charge and can be given back in a refund at the lesson rate or given a make-up. 
  4. Cancellations that are made in advance by the student or parent can be offered a reschedule.  This reschedule can even be made virtually.  If no reschedule can be made up the lesson time will still be paid for. 
  5. Cancellations that are made within 24 hours’ notice by student or parent will forfeit a make-up and still be paid for. 
  6. Consistent practice outside of lessons is essential for the progression of the student.  At least an amount totaling 30 minutes a day is a good standard to apply to the material we are working on in the lessons to achieve their goals.
  7. To keep your spot, lessons must continue in the summer and is figured in the monthly tuition.  This is an important time to keep things moving forward and not going backward.

  • There will be 45 lessons offered out of the 52 weeks.  This gives 2 weeks off during winter break, 1 week off if your school has a spring break, 1 week off between spring and summer semesters, 1 week that I take a vacation week off and 1 week vacation for your vacation. 1 additional week for those that have band camp.  45x$40 per half hour lesson divided by 12 months =$150.  If there is hardship I can offer a scholarship at a discounted rate.  This can be discussed.
